Worker killed after being hit by a tractor in Madera

It happened yesterday near the intersection of Lake and Adell near James Monroe Elementary School.

Madera Police says a three-man crew was flattening out dirt with a tractor. One of the men was reversing the tractor and backed over the victim.

Police found a cell phone next to him. They believe he was talking on the phone.

The victim's identity has not been released and Cal-Osha is investigating the accident.
