23 firefighters responded to the blaze. When they arrived, flames were shooting out of the roof -- some as high as thirty feet.
Fire officials say the windy weather posed a challenge for fire crews.
"The fire was under control within 5 minutes but because of the wind factor, it's creating a little problem with the attic and smoldering embers," Tony Escobedo said.
Everyone in the home made it out safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
