A Madera faces second degree murder charges

FRESNO, Calif.

The crash happened earlier this month on Avenue 14 in Madera. Two people died and another was seriously hurt -- when the car crashed into a nearby field.

Police say 55-year-old Richard Farias was drinking before the accident.

He bailed out of jail after his initial arrest but was taken into custody Wednesday, afternoon.

Farias now faces second degree murder charges.
