Wearing a cap, turtleneck and sport coat, he's been unofficially dubbed the "Dapper Bandit." But he's carrying a gun under that coat.

Sgt. Jerardo Chamalbide of the Fresno Police Department told us; "What is happening he goes into the bank approaches a teller he shows them a handgun and he demands the money from the bank teller. The bank teller gives the guy the money and he walks out."

Fresno Police say the clear surveillance photos give them hope someone will identify the robber. Chamalbide says they'd like to catch him soon because they think he will rob more banks. "This one is significant because it's an emerging series and we feel he's going to hit again."

Police have not connected this suspect to any other robberies, but there are similarities to a suspect who's wanted for a dozen other bank robberies. The so called Geezer Bandit started robbing banks in San Diego last year. The latest robbery attributed to him occurred in Bakersfield on November 12th.

While the Geezer bandit looks older than our Dapper bandit, witnesses have reported the Geezer was wearing an old man mask. Such high quality Hollywood masks, and a Geezer outfit were sold as Halloween costumes.

We contacted the FBI and they said they had no reason to believe the Dapper Bandit and the Geezer Bandit were the same person.

The Dapper Bandit is described as a white male, between 30 and 40 ... around 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. The Geezer Bandit is about the same size, but said to be 70 years old.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency.
