Arrest in Ana Diaz homicide case

An infant believed to be Diaz' missing son was later found abandoned on a doorstep.

Merced County Sheriff's Deputies say a couple approached someone in Merced earlier this month with a baby in a car seat and asked if they wanted to buy the infant.

Authorities conducted test results to determine if a baby found alive in Le Grand a few weeks ago was the son of Ana Diaz. Her burned body was found in an orchard near Snelling a few weeks ago.
