Missing skier at China Peak has been found dead

The Sheriff's Office told Action News that 29-year-old Eli Shelby went skiing at the China Peak Resort Monday.

A friend of Shelby's last saw him at around 3:30 in the afternoon.

Deputies say Shelby did not return to his vehicle in the China Peak parking lot when the resort closed for the day.

20 deputies and volunteers were involved in the search for Shelby.
