Fresno residents dance into 2011

Friday night, a big crowd celebrated at the Mezcal Lounge in Downtown Fresno. Partiers there rang in the New Year with plenty of music and dancing.

Meanwhile, members of the Central California big band dance club showed their own moves at the Robert A. Schoettler Convention Center in downtown Fresno.

The Fifth Annual event included ballroom-style orchestra music. The tickets cost $70 and organizers say the money raised will be used for scholarships for local high school students.
