Madera County Sheriff's Deputies say a five-year-old girl was found dead by her grandparents this morning near Highway 49 and Windsong Way. Authorities believe the girl's mother is believed to have killed her.
Investigators say the 23-year-old mother later jumped off a bridge in Mariposa County.
Madera County Authorities are not releasing the names of the girl or the mother at this time.
