Locals sign National Letters of Intent

FRESNO, Calif.

Two of the top running backs in the state will look for playing time immediately next year, with Clovis West's Kendall Brock signing with the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Kingsburg's Garrett Steele is heading to Cal Poly, where the versatile athlete will play fullback in the Mustangs' triple option attack.

Redwood of Visalia' K.C. Pearce will be catching passes in the WAC at San Jose State next year.

Two-way star Jonathon Kirkman of liberty high school in Madera Ranchos continues the Hawk pipeline to Sacramento State, as the second Liberty player in two years to sign with the Hornets.

Central high school will be represented twice in the Pac-10 next year, with dominating wide out BJ Kelley flying north to Oregon next year. And speedy running back Brendon Bigelow is signing with the Cal Golden Bears, where he will be coached by former Bulldog Jeff Tedford.

In all, local players will compete in four different conferences, all playing in the Pacific time zone.
