Edison High football coach Jim O'Brien resigned

FRESNO, Calif.

O'Brien faced criticism from a group of parents claiming he made demeaning comments about the southwest Fresno community.

Some parents planned to demand O'Brien's resignation at Wednesday night's Fresno Unified School Board meeting. O'Brien led Edison to four wins and seven losses in his first season with the Tigers.

Sports Director Jason Oliveira will have more details on the coach's resignation coming up tonight on Action News Live at Six.
