Cross-eyed Opossum gets job predicting Oscar winners

Similar to how Paul the octopus predicted winners of the World Cup, a cross-eyed opossum from Germany will try to predict this year's Oscar winners.

The animal will be appearing on the "Jimmy Kimmel Show" alongside the Oscars on Feb 27. It's unclear exactly how Heidi will make her predictions.

A zoo director in Germany said Heidi's appearance fee will be donated to an animal protection charity.

Paul, who died in October, correctly predicted the outcome of all seven German games at last year's World Cup and the Spain-Netherlands final from an aquarium.

The Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. You can watch the ceremony broadcast live on ABC7 beginning at 5 p.m. PT.
