Gov. removes Pa. workers in abortion clinic probe

HARRISBURG, Pa.

Corbett said Tuesday that the employees worked at the Department of Health and the Department of State, which licenses health care workers.

Corbett says that in some cases he's accepted resignations. Others have been dismissed outright. Some are suspended while his aides investigate.

A grand jury that investigated the clinic had scathing criticism for Pennsylvania's state health and medical regulators for allowing the conditions at the clinic to exist unchecked for years.

Corbett also says his administration has drawn up agency protocols to better protect women.
