Volunteers clean up Fresno middle school

FRESNO, Calif.

Even children helped out -- doing minor landscaping at Sequoia Middle School while adults handled larger tasks like planting trees and pressure washing sidewalks.

The all day effort was put together by Clovis Hills Community Church, El Encino Baptist Church, and the "Every Neighborhood Partnership".

"Clovis Hills has been involved in Sequoia Middle School for two years, doing a Saturday Sports program and they wanted to extend their blessing, their encouragement, by getting in the school and letting them know they're here to help and be available wherever is needed," Andrew Young said.

Volunteers also went inside the school Saturday -- shelving books in the library, and cleaning up classrooms.

The partnership continued Sunday where both churches held services together on the school campus.
