The automaker says for some reason, the Yellow Sac Spider, likes to build their nests in part of the fuel system of its Mazda6 sedans.
Blockage of the vent line can lead to a crack in the gas tank and the possibility of a fire.
There have been 20 reported cases of spider infestation in cars with 4-cylinder engines, none with V6's.
Dealers say they will inspect and, if necessary, repair the fuel system. A spring will also be installed to prevent spider intrusions.
