La Sierra Military Academy Middle School to re-open

"La Sierra Military Academy" is on Houston Avenue near Cain. Last year the Tulare County Office of Education had to shut down the 7th grade class at the academy. Now, they're hoping to recruit new students to enroll in 7th and 8th grade next year.

Last year parents of La Sierra Military Academy students were upset to see part of the middle school shut down. They say the physical training and strict rules helped their children succeed.

There will be two informational nights for parents on the full re-opening of the middle school. The first will take place on March 17th at 6 p.m. at the La Sierra Military Academy assembly room.
