Fresno peace activists protest wars

FRESNO, Calif.

Members of 'Peace Fresno' sang songs and held signs near the Riverpark shopping center demanding an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And at least one sign also referenced the situation in Libya. Suggesting the real problem is U.S. foreign policy, not Ghadaffi.

"Diplomacy is a much better solution. We have to hold our guns instead of shooting first and asking questions later," Dan Yaseen said.

Members of Peace Fresno say money spent on the wars would be better spent on education, healthcare, and housing.

Saturday's demonstration coincided with the 8th anniversary of the Iraq War.
