At the Wildwood Mobile Home Park, located along the San Joaquin River near Highway 41, water has risen beyond the river banks and is now just a few feet away from some homes.

The sheriff has set up a reverse 9-1-1 system that would be used if the park needs to be evacuated. The sheriff's office says there's no immediate danger and residents appear to be taking the situation in stride.

The sheriff's office says the Berenda and Ash Sloughs are also at capacity right now. And any more water could create flooding in the Chowchilla area.

An evacuation shelter has been set up at Liberty High School in Madera Ranchos off Road 36, just as a precaution.
