Chris Brown gives apology for outburst after GMA interview

NEW YORK

"I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office or anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed at my actions, because I was disappointed in the way I acted," Brown told BET. "I kept my composure and did my performance, and when I got back, I just let off like steam. I didn't try to hurt anyone, I just wanted to release, just the anger that I had inside me."

Brown reportedly broke a window with a chair in his dressing room. He had just finished an interview with Robin Roberts who asked about his life since his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown said he was thrown off by the questioning and felt exploited, even though Roberts said Brown knew ahead of time the subject matter.
