The measure would bar The Environmental Protection Agency from requiring farmers or companies to comply with the clean water act when using pesticides on or near water sources. The bill's supporters said pesticides are adequately regulated by other laws.
The bill now goes to the Senate.

Beef prices are going up even higher.
Shoppers are already paying more for eggs, milk, cereal and meat because of surging commodity prices. The price of beef in particular has shot through the roof.
The market research firm Freshlook Data says the average retail price for a pound of beef was $3.87 in February. That's a 12.4-percent increase from a year ago.
