Crews moved out all of the furniture Wednesday afternoon at the "Child Development Center" on the College of the Sequoias campus.

COS officials took photos of the mold, which was found in seven separate places in the facility.

Administrators believe the black mold did not present a danger to children or daycare staff because it was not airborne. 96 children attend the daycare each day.

The college is placing the facility on quarantine while crews get rid of the mold.

Eric Mittlestead, Dean of Facilities said "For the child's safety we just want to make sure we're not putting anybody in danger ... wouldn't want to put anybody in harms way."

Danielle Martinez, student said "I hope they fix the problem and hopefully reopen the facility soon because my daughter, she loves it here."

The daycare will be temporarily moving to the Porter Field House on campus, on Friday.

The child development center will be shut down for at least the next two weeks.
