Many teachers are upset about Mariposa Unified's decision to close two elementary schools in the district on Thursday.
Starting next year, nearly 120 students from Catheys Valley and Coulterville Schools will be bused to schools almost 30 minutes away.
Teachers say the closures will add more stress to a district that's already making sacrifices.
District officials say the school closures will save them close to $800 thousand.
