That's 16 year old /*Shaela Warkentin*/ - doing the coin toss prior to Saturday's Clovis Sidekicks season opener.
Warkentin suffered major injuries in a car crash last March, and was recently released from the hospital.
The Sidekicks wore ribbons in their hair in Warkentin's honor... during a fundraiser organized by one of the players.
"She came to me and aid, can we do this for her and these are her needs? And I said, absolutely. That's a great idea," said Milton Contreras. "That's great that a player from outside her age wanted to do something like that."
The Clovis Sidekicks is an amateur, semi-pro soccer team, and some of the players are college athletes - competing with the team during their summer break.
They also auctioned off t-shirts to help out the Warkentin family.
