From now through the end of August, the Valley Animal Center is offering a 'Hang Ten' special.
Any cat more than 6 months old can be adopted for $10 bucks. That's $75 off the normal adoption fee.
"We're trying to promote a lot of our adult animals who really need second chance homes, even from a no kill shelter. There's a big pet overpopulation right now and there's a lot of adult cats waiting for homes, just like the little kittens," Katie Dezso said.
The $10 adoption fee also includes the cat's spay or neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip.
The adoption center says that's a bargain, a lot of love for just ten bucks.
