A fast-moving wildfire in northern New Mexico is forcing the evacuation of about 100 residents near Los Alamos.

The "Las Conchas" fire has grown to more than 43 thousand acres and has burned at least 30 structures including some homes.

Officials have also shut down the Los Alamos National Laboratory for the day as a precaution, even though the fire is not directly threatening the facility.

The fire began Sunday. Fire crews don't have any of it contained yet.
