Australian baseball team visits Sanger

FRESNO, Calif.

The team is made up of 24 players aged 14 to 17. Their two-week tour of California has already taken them to San Diego and Disneyland, and will finish next week in San Francisco for a Giants game at AT&T park.

"It's all about having fun and playing baseball," said Southern Stars Coach Steve Gilmore. "We don't get enough baseball in Australia. We have a great opportunity to come over and play and compete against the high school kids here, and learn and have a lot of instruction going on as well. It's just a fantastic opportunity."
