Valley astronaut aboard the space shuttle Atlantis

FRESNO, Calif.

The four crew members of this last mission include Specialist /*Rex Walheim*/. Among the three hundred family members who made the trip to Florida is Walheim's brother Lance who farms citrus in Tulare County. All the Walheim's are hoping the rain doesn't stop the historic mission.

"It's raining right now, the forecast doesn't look very good for tomorrow morning," said Lance. "We'll just have to wait and see."

Space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to lift off at 8:26 pacific time Friday. Forecasters say there is only a 30% chance of favorable weather at that time.
