Investigators said the officer was responding to a loud party in the Yosemite Lakes Parks area around 3:45 Sunday morning. While he was investigating, a car came at him and hit him -- knocking the officer to the ground.
The officer fired a shot at the car as it sped away, but it's unknown if anyone in the car was hit.
The officer, who is not being identified, received minor injuries. The suspect is not known but investigators say they are now looking for a dark colored, four door sedan.
