Help 'Stuff the Bus' with supplies for local students

FRESNO, Calif.

Assemblyman David Valadao from Hanford announced he will be hosting the 2011 "Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive."

Traditionally, a school bus packed with classroom supplies will stop at a local elementary school... and kids will get a bag full of supplies.

Donations will be accepted at several South Valley K-Mart stores on Friday.



Assemblyman David G. Valadao (Hanford-R) announced that he will be hosting the 2011 Stuff the Bus school supply drive benefitting school children in the 30th Assembly District. The event is a partnership between schools, local businesses, and service clubs aimed at collecting school supplies for local students as they head back to school.

The event will be held on Friday Aug. 5th from 10:00AM-5:00PM. Assemblyman Valadao will be on hand assisting with the event. Below are the times and locations of his availability throughout the day:

11:00AM-11:20AM - Kmart, California 46, Wasco, CA 93289. 11:50AM-12:10PM - Kmart, 912 County Line Road, Delano, CA 93215. 2:00PM-2:20PM - Kmart, 25 West Polk St., Coalinga, CA 93210. 3:50PM-4:10PM - Rite Aid, 1500 Whitley Ave, Corcoran, CA 93210.

On Friday Aug. 19, Stuff the Bus will also be held from 10:00AM-5:00PM at the following locations. Assemblyman Valadao will be available from 10:00AM-10:20AM at Walmart, 2601 Fashion Place in Bakersfield, 93306 and from 10:50AM-11:20AM at Rite Aid 150 East Lerdo Highway in Shafter, 93263.
