It happened just before 2 a.m. on Sixth and Bulldog.
Witnesses say the victim was walking on San Bruno when a group of people approached him and pulled out weapons. Neighbors say the suspects fired six shots.
The victim was shot once in the stomach. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the suspects were last seen South of Sixth Street in a big white car with a ragtop.
