It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday morning near Chinowth and Hurley.
Police went to the area after getting reports of a man chasing a woman with a bat. When officers found the victim, she had severe injuries to her face and torso. An ambulance took her to the hospital, but the suspect was gone.
During a search, officers found 20-year-old Andrew Ibarra. They arrested him for attempted murder.
The victim and her unborn baby are expected to survive.
