The California Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Albert Rivera of Fresno was driving south on Bethel Avenue near Adams when his Toyota drifted into the Northbound lanes.
Rivera hit one grape harvesters, then the second -- ejecting one of the drivers. That driver sustained major injuries and was taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the second harvester as well as a passenger in the Toyota received minor injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but officers do not believe drugs or alcohol are a factor.
