Air quality concerns some parents

FRESNO, Calif.

Jennifer Anderson is a concerned parent who pays close attention to the air quality. She says, "I ask the kids everyday if they are going to be doing P.E., and it's a concern whether they are going to be out in it."

Dr. Bill Ebbeling is a Fresno based allergist. He says parents like Jennifer have good reason to be concerned. Dr. Ebbeling says, "Whenever you see the red and orange signals, it's basically, stay inside. Don't breathe this stuff. It's not healthy for you." Dr. Ebbeling says the poor air quality can aggravate conditions like asthma and bronchitis.
