The space agency is hoping to bolster its reserves of astronauts after a national research council report warned the Corp was getting too small. But there's only room for about eight to 12 new students.
The focus of the training will be on long-duration missions aboard the International Space Station.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in NASA's continuing exploration programs, including missions beyond low-earth orbit.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, science or math, and three years of relevant professional experience are required in order to be considered.
