Occupy Fresno group prepares for Occupy-Fest

FRESNO, Calif.

At least four security officers made it to the scene around midnight Friday night to address the ordinance violation. Sheriff's Deputies were also called out to the area, but none of the protesters were arrested.

The group was allowed to stay at Courthouse Park overnight, but were forbidden from setting up tents, and they were told to keep moving.

The group said some of their members were ready to be arrested if it came down to it. "It should be known that we will stay here. We wont be pushed out. We feel it's our First Amendment right to be here. It's free speech!" said protester Joseph Hunter.

The group is planning an "Occupy-Fest" Saturday at the Fresno Courthouse as part of an International Day of Action. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Events are also being planned in Visalia and Merced.
