Overnight rocket launch seen in Valley

FRESNO, Calif.

A few Facebook fans on the ABC30 page said they thought they saw something strange in the sky on Friday morning, and they were right.

A Delta II rocket carrying a NASA weather satellite blasted off shortly before 3 a.m.

The satellite will give meteorologists and scientists never before seen views of storms swirling around the world.
