A bail agent with Expert Bail presented a check for $1 thousand Tuesday afternoon.
The money will supply some 500 meals to those in need.
The donation began with a Facebook contest.
More than 11-thousand people took part in the online promotion, which donated meals nationwide based on the number of "likes" received on the organization's website.
The Fresno Community Food Bank was selected by consumers from a list of local food banks.
This year, the Food Bank will distribute over 13 thousand boxes of food for Thanksgiving in the Fresno County area.
