SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

FRESNO, Calif.

COLDER NIGHTS AND THE THREAT OF FROST IN THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY LATER THIS WEEK THROUGH THE WEEKEND... A DRY CANADIAN AIRMASS WILL INVADE THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA INTERIOR DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AND BRING THE COLDEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURES SO FAR THIS SEASON TO THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY. MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WILL BE JUST BELOW 32 DEGREES IN THE COLDEST LOCATIONS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY FRIDAY MORNING WHERE FROST IS POSSIBLE. FROST MAY BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD IN THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY THIS WEEKEND WHEN MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY BE BETWEEN 28 AND 32 DEGREES. ALTHOUGH THERMOMETER READINGS COULD BRIEFLY DIP AS LOW AS 27 DEGREES IN THE COLDEST LOCATIONS THIS WEEKEND... A HARD FREEZE IS NOT LIKELY.
