Fresno Co Dept of Public Health Flu vaccinations

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno County Department Of Public Health is holding clinics this week. This one was held at the Ted C. Wills Center in Downtown Fresno.

The centers for Disease Control And Prevention recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone six months and older.

"It's not to late to get vaccinated." said Natalia Vargas with the Fresno County Department of Health, "This week is National Influenza Vaccination Week which we are promoting to get vaccinated. December is not too late. Like I said, usually it peaks in January and February, so you still have time to get protected."

The cost for a flu vaccination is just $4, but no one will be refused based on inability to pay.

Two clinics will be held on Wednesday:

Glen Agnes Center on Floradora Avenue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The California Hotel on Van Ness Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
