Airline planning social network-based seating

FRESNO, Calif.

The airline has announced it will allow passengers to choose their seatmates based on Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.

The program will work by allowing passengers to access other fliers' social media information when checking into a flight online.

They will also be able to link their own social media profiles with their check-in information, allowing others to see and choose them.

The policy would also allow passengers to opt out of the service if they want, the report said.

KLM plans to roll out what they're calling "social seating" next year.

What do you think? Would you want to pick who you sit next to through Facebook? Would you want others to be able to choose you?
