Home invaders lock-up a Fresno woman in a car trunk

FRESNO, Calif.

The home invasion happened around 4 p.m., near Magill and Fresno streets in Northeast Fresno. Police say that's when a family member came home and found things out of place and the victim missing.

After police arrived, they found the woman inside the trunk of a vehicle that was parked in the home's garage. Police say a motive is still unclear but the home invasion was not a random act. "They asked for a resident who lived there by name. That person was not there. The female victim was the only person at home at that point. The two suspects forced their way inside, did assault our victim and then locked her in the trunk of the car," said Lt. Tom Rowe with the Fresno Police Department.

Police are now working with family members to try and identify the suspects. The 69 year old victim wasn't seriously injured and was released from the hospital Monday night.
