Gray wolf in California for first time in decades

FRESNO, Calif.

Wildlife officials say the significance of the wolf crossing into California is huge because it means a return of a species not seen in the state in more than 80 years.

A global positioning system collar was placed on the wolf back in February.

Researchers aren't sure if the wolf will stay in California or venture back into Oregon or perhaps Nevada.
