The accident happened on North Effie Street between Illinois and Divisadero. It all started when a woman hit a gas meter on the side of her house as she pulled out of her driveway.
She didn't realize she busted a gas-line and kept on going. Neighbors say they heard a "whishing" sound and smelled gas, so they called PG&E.
Five PG&E crews responded but had a difficult time making repairs because the gas line went under the driveway. Instead of tearing up the street, they ripped up the neighbors yard.
