Fresno man admits to committing two murders

FRESNO, Calif.

/*Andre Ruff*/ pleaded guilty Monday morning to two counts of second degree murder. Homicide investigators arrested him for stabbing /*Maurice Hackett*/, 52, to death in November 2010. Ruff didn't know Hackett, but killed him outside the "Westside Market" in Southeast Fresno. Police say Ruff also stabbed and killed his 70-year old aunt, /*Fair Miles*/, a month later.

Prosecutor, Lynmarc Jenkins said, "He's a meth addict who was out of control and we have two people dead because of it."

Family members say Ruff has suffered from mental illness, which may explain some of his actions. The 26-year-old will receive a life sentence next month, but he'll be eligible for parole after 32 years.
