Lauryn suffered from leukemia and needed a bone marrow match to help save her life.
Blood and bone marrow drives were held in the Valley over the summer, and there was hope. A match was found in November.
Doctors were waiting for Lauryn to get strong enough to undergo the transplant surgery, but Lauren passed away from organ failure Wednesday night.
