It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the Villager Inn on Young Street near 3rd. Witnesses say Selma Police officers went to a room on the second floor and demanded the person inside surrender.
A man who's staying at the motel said he heard officers yell, "He's got a gun" followed by three shots. Police have confirmed one man was killed, but have not yet released any other details.
