Ag experts say about 20-percent of the crop was damaged, the worst right here in Fresno and Madera.

Mandarin growers say they planted extra fruit this year, and harvest levels will be similar to last year.

County ag commissioners are examining fruits in a bid to keep any damaged produce away from the market where it could cause damage to the reputation of the California citrus industry.


Ag experts say favorable growing conditions across spinach-growing regions have resulted in large crops.

Growers say even though more spinach is being sold, this year's crop was so bountiful they will have to lower prices.

Spinach growers in Texas alone are seeing a 30-percent increase in volume.
