Large crowd turns out for Grizzlies job fair

FRESNO, Calif.

With high Valley unemployment the competition was tough. Officials say 1200 people showed up at a job fair.

Park officials say they saw a wide range of people here looking for jobs, from teenagers trying to land their first job to people in their 60s hoping to be able to pay their bills.

"The line is a little intimidating, but we just come out and hope for the best today," Laura Murietta of Fresno said.

"I used to come to games with my dad, he's a real big fan. It just seems like it would be fun. It would give me that experience with working with people," Ashley Costa of Fresno said.

The Grizzlies are hiring for a wide range of positions including ticket takers, ushers, and concession stand workers.
