Fresno apartment fire leaves 3 families homeless

FRESNO, Calif.

The flames ignited around 2 a.m. Monday morning at an apartment complex on East White Avenue near Barton in Central Fresno.

Crews say the fire started in a laundry room and spread to three units. One of the families, driven out by the fire is staying with relatives. The Red Cross is helping the other two families find a place to stay.
