Arrest made in string of Clovis car burglaries

FRESNO, Calif.

Authorities say /*Springer Blevins*/, 29, of Clovis, and /*Steven Anderson*/, 22, of Fresno broke into at least 11 cars in Southwest Clovis overnight. They reportedly smashed windows to get in cars with valuables left inside.

They made off with backpacks, tools, an iPad, and even someone's bible. Police say the property was left in plain sight in all of the vehicles.

Officers pulled over Blevins and Anderson's car at about six o'clock Tuesday morning at Gettysburg and Villa. They say that's when they saw the stolen items and burglary tools inside the car, and arrested the two men.

Investigators say they hope this case serves as a reminder to make sure you take your valuables out of your vehicle and out of sight when you get out of your car.
