Surveillance cameras catch two Madera County vandals

FRESNO, Calif.

Pictures show the teens in action on Road 22 near Avenue 9 in Madera County.

Detectives say the two boys walked onto the property and started shattering windows and vandalizing farm equipment. They broke a total of 60 windows. It took them about an hour to cause more than $7,000 in damage.

"Here you have a classic situation brought daylight, obviously after school, no extracurricular activities, except to create mayhem, and you know, what was the point?" asked Erica Stuart with the Madera County Sheriff's Office.

A tip led detectives to the suspects. Sheriff's deputies say they have seen a rise in vandalism and thefts at farms in the area.
